Friday evening at 7:30, at the State College Area High School Auditorium, the Bald Eagle Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #51 will present their annual fundraising concert. Larry Chance and the Earls will be the feature attraction, performing their classic hits like "Life Is But a Dream," and "Remember Then." The Earls always include comedy and audience participation as part of their show, so come prepared to have a great time. I'm privileged to be the MC for the evening.

Tickets are 15 dollars at the door, but I'll be giving tickets away on air, and through this here blog, too. If you'd like a pair of tickets, just email mr.inertia@morningnews.com, and while supplies last, I'll be happy to put a pair of tickets in your name at our famed front desk.  I'll confirm your tickets with a return email, so wait for that before heading out to pick them up.

This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the lodge, so come on out, have a good time, and support a great cause.

It's only been a day, and already this blog is becoming the subject of this blog...  The good news is, the blog did receive its first email!

Well, someone had to try out the email to make sure it works.  Some TV star was once asked if he answered all his fan mail.  "Answer it,?" he said, "I barely have time to write it."  Now I know how he feels.

We have had some requests for a comment section here on the blog, but so far I'm resisting that.  I know most blogs seem to have them, but we here at WRSC had this wacky idea that instead of posting in a comment section, people might actually comment ON THE AIR!  And you know, that's just crazy enough to work.  So, if you have comments about the blog, the show, my cats, your favorite TV show, or anything at all, just call during some open line on the radio show, or send an email to: Mr.Inertia@newsradio1390.com  You may hear your email on the air, or it may be addressed here in the blog, or both.

Wonderful. Another idiot with a blog. Only this time, it's ME...

Mr. Inertia is a nickname I've had since matriculating at a local multi-versity in the late 60's and early 70's. For those of you not as geeky as I am, inertia is basically the tendency of a body in motion to stay in motion, or a body at rest to stay at rest, unless acted on by an outside force. For example, Mr. Inertia (me) was happy to, in the world of blogging, remain a body at rest, until someone we'll refer to here as "the boss," said, "You need to start a blog." Soooo, due to the outside force (the boss), the body at rest (me) became a body in motion, which has resulted in this here blog thingy.

Regular listeners of WRSC's Morning News know that I can occasionally go off on some pretty weird tangents. I would imagine that will be even more evident here on the blog. Pretty much anything goes. So, if there's anything at all you'd like to see covered here, just email your ideas, and we'll see where this thing ends up going.
